Local H Concert at Bourbon Street Nov. 23, 2007

I went to the Local H performance at Bourbon Street Nov. 23, 2007 and It was pretty awesome. They started around 11p.m. and rocked the house for a few hours. They played most of the favorites such as "Bound For The Floor", "Hands On The Bible" and "High-Fiving Motherfucker". They also played a couple songs that will be on their upcoming album which were pretty decent. I do not know they exact release date of that, but I cannot wait.
During a few of the songs that require the back up vocalist Gabe Rodriguez he came out wearing a ninja costume which was pretty funny. The lead singer, Scott Lucas, was fantastic as usual. The man knows how to put on a show and knows how to sing.
Drummer Brian St. Clair was awesome. He is a really good drummer. He is so passionate when he drums, and his talent baffles me.
Between songs Scott was handed a bud light from a fan, dumped it out, then was handed a miller lite, dumped that out and said he didn't drink that shit and those people should never recreate, or something along those lines. Then some chick handed him a guiness and he chugged it (that's what the image is) and said that this chick is awesome and should have ten daughters and he would date every single one of them. That was hilarious.
During their set they covered "Proud Mary" by CCR and "Time" by Pink Floyd which was just an added bonus to their performance.
For $5 I would say I definitely got my money's worth and I can't wait for the next time I see them. I go see them quite often, basically anytime they are within reasonable driving distance.

Reign Over Me

Reign Over Me is perhaps Adam Sandler's best role since taking on more serious roles as of late.

This movie is brilliant and I recommend it to everyone.

The movie takes you inside the mind of a father and husband who lost his wife and three daughters on 9-11. We all know the tragedy of 9-11, and we all bought our flags and sported them on our cars to support our country for a few months after the tragedy of that day.

However, we do not realize how many people this incident actually effected. So many people have so many terrible, terrible stories about this day and Reign Over Me captures this. There needs to be more movies about peoples stories from this day. Not just movies can capture these stories, but journalists all over the country should still be telling the stories of others about this tragedy. To many it may be just another tragedy that happened just over six years ago, but to the people it effected directly it is a tragedy that has effected them forever.

Sandler's performance is amazing in the movie. This is possibly one of the best movies I have seen in a while. Sandler captures the pain of someone who has lost family because of 9-11 very well. Sandler's role as someone suffering post-traumatic stress from an incident in their lives is captured brilliantly.

Don Cheadle also starred beside Sandler as Sandler's old college roommate who runs into him. Cheadle also has a great performance in this flick. His role really works well because the whole audience can identify with his character. The audience can identify with his character because if they had a friend who was struggling in life because of tragedy in their life, they would also try and help their friend and do everything they could to make things right. Even if the friend does not want their help, they were not going to just sit and watch as their friend suffered.

Here's a trailer from the movie. Again, I strongly recommend this movie.

Cheerleader run over by football team

This is ridiculous. Just watch the video. I'm glad she is OK, but how dumb can someone be?

This is where I would insert a video of me shaking my head at this girl if I had a video of me doing that.
